シンガポールIKEA - IKEA Singapore

アパート探しと並行して、家具やキッチン用品の情報収集にIKEAへ。もちろんIKEAカフェの（パースとの）メニュー比較も。
I visited IKEA Singapore to get some ideas on furniture and kitchen goods while I run around for house hunting at the same time. Of course, I cannot go to IKEA without stopping at IKEA cafe.

パースIKEAに行く度に必ずオーダーした黄緑色のプリンセス・ケーキが、シンガポールではなぜかピンク色。名前も「マジパン・ケーキ」。クリームの量がやや多目で蒸し暑い気候のせいかマジパンも少しやわらかい。
"Princess cake" at Perth IKEA was called "Marzipan cake" at Singapore IKEA and it is pink, not green. The Singapore version had more cream and the marzipan was a bit loose - maybe because of the humid weather here.

シンガポール到着 - Hello Singapore

パースから飛行機で約５時間、蒸し暑いシンガポールに到着。「食」が日常会話に頻繁にでてくるシンガポールで、これからおいしいライフスタイルを追求する。
I arrived in hot and humid Singapore after 5 hours flight from Perth. 'Food' comes up often in everyday conversation here. Singapore will be my home ground for a while to pursuit for delicious lifestyle.

まずはおなじみDin Tai Fungからスタート。この台湾発のチェーン店はオーストラリアにも進出している。シンガポール市場への進出はBread Talk Groupが出資したことがきっかけ。第１号店のパラゴン・ショッピングセンター店は常に行列ができているが、Marina Bay Financial Centre店は、ディナー時間は待たずに入れる。

Starting point of Oishi Singapore is the famous Din Tai Fung. This Taiwanese restaurant chain has a branch in Australia. Break Talk group brought Din Tai Fung to Singapore and doing very well. Its first Singapore outlet at Paragon Shopping Centre still has a long line of diners every day. Marina Bay Financial Centre store is relatively quiet during dinner time.

 野菜と豚肉入り蒸し餃子。Vegetable and port steamed dumpling.

ほうれん草とガーリックの炒め物でビタミン補給。Top up vitamins with spinach and garlic stir-fry.

シンガポールには１８店舗ある。There are 18 Din Tai Fung stores in Singapore (source: Din Tai Fung information card).
